This week, we’ve got a Fight Pass card in Singapore. Since it’s in Singapore, we must wake up at 4:30am ET to see it live. I’ve already set the alarm and I will be up ready to sweat these early struggles. DraftKings doesn’t have many large tournaments this week so that I will personally be playing more money games and less GPPs. I will still have 3 GPP lineups but most of my investment that this week will probably be in money games. But, There’s still money to be won so here are a Couple of plays I like and my fade of the week:
Cash Game play of this week — Stack, Leon Edwards ($8,600) AND Donald Cerrone ($7,600)
Donald”Cowboy” Cerrone is not in a dull fight. Whether he wins or loses, his fights generally score as a whole and the winner almost always pays off their cost in DraftKings. I usually look for 100 total points if I stack a struggle in money and that I think with this being a probable 5-rounds, it should assess well more than that. If Edwards win this fight, it is probably an early KO, and if this happens he’ll score very large. If Cerrone wins, then he can lock up a submission or a knockout which will easily 10x his price tag of $7.6k. But in any event, you have the winner in your lineup and the guaranteed 30-90 win bonus points should you stack. I think this fight will be fun so long as it lasts and there ought to be a fantastic amount of points added up until these two get finished. If this does go 5 rounds, then these two should still get over 100 total points with the speed Cowboy brings to the table.
GPP play of this week — Li Jingliang ($9,200)
Li Jingliang always puts on a show when he steps in the Octagon. He is a fast pace fighter who scores well on DraftKings if he wins. I believe he must be the better fighter wherever this fight ends up against Abe. In addition, I think he can finish this fight on the feet or the floor and if that happens he would probably pay off his high cost of $9.2k. He’s the 3rd most expensive fighter on the card and I believe he’s the maximum ceiling. That is what we want in GPPs is a ceiling, so that is the reason why Jingliang is my GPP drama of this week.
Underdog drama of the week — Song Yadong ($7,900)
Song Yadong is my favourite DraftKings”underdog” this week. His gambling line has shifted to him being a small favorite at -120 but he is $400 cheaper than his competitor. I think saving that $400 is a good move in money or GPP games therefore that I enjoy Yadong in all formats. I believe Yadong will look to keep this battle on the toes and search for this KO win. If he does get the win, then ” I think he must readily pay off that price tag and receive at least 10x.
Fade of this week — Viviane Pereira ($8,800)
My primary issue with Pereira is that she is too expensive. At $8.8k, I want at least 88 points out of her and I believe she needs get a finish to perform that. I really don’t see that happening and neither does Vegas using a +617 ITD line. She doesn’t strike at a high enough speed or territory sufficient takedowns to evaluate 88 points in my opinion. In her 2 UFC wins she held her competitor against the fence for a good section of the struggle and no issues are being scored when that occurs. If she does this again here, there’s absolutely no way she comes near 88 points in spite of a win. I will have a complete fade on Pereira this week and I will compensate for different favorites instead.
